The De La Salle University – Dasmariñas Communication and Media Society (COMMSOC) will host its annual podcast-type talk event titled “Powertalk: Beyond the Pixels,” which intends to reveal the stories and experiences behind the fame, achievements, and successful journey of content creators to empower Lasallians in producing contents.

COMMSOC Director for Creatives and Powertalk Project Head Kaye Ngitngit shared the event’s objective, emphasizing the aim to cultivate innovation in content creations among aspiring Lasallians.

“Our inspiring podcast talk aims to empower and motivate our fellow Lasallians, providing them with invaluable insights and perspectives on reaching success by creating content,” she explained.

In line with this, the said event will feature two well-known content creators as guest speakers: Raco Ruiz and Patrise Calumpag.

Raco Ruiz is known for his #Spongebro and #Conyoverse content, while Patrise Calumpag is notable for her flawless imitation of content scenes, both being popular on TikTok.

“The guest speakers will tackle different ways to make your content viral by sharing their creative methods and strategies in making one, together with the struggles they have faced in the process,” Ngitngit stated.

Further, this virtual event is open to all DLSU-D students, especially to those who aspire to become influencers and content creators.

According to Ngitngit, it is an opportunity to ignite every passionate student’s creative spark, unlock their potential, and embark towards a brighter future by learning from the speakers’ experiences and getting practical tips to improve their projects.

“It would be very-not-so-formal event kasi we like to connect with our guests na parang friends lang na nakikipagkuwentuhan, gano’ng vibes,” the project head added.

The online event will be streamed via Facebook Live on Saturday, November 11.
