Lasallian Pop Band (LPB), in partnership with Visual and Performing Arts Production Unit (VPAPU), is set to hold a fundraising digital concert today for the benefit of Filipino frontliners battling the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The fundraising concert, entitled “MUSIK-Alay: LBP Donation Drive,” will be streamed live via LBP’s official Facebook page at 6PM.

In an exclusive interview with LPB President Kyle Bacani, the monetary donation that will be collected in the fundraising initiative will be used by VPAPU for the continuous production of Personal Protective Equipment, DIY face shields, and other medical necessities for COVID-19 frontliners.

“It’s just a live show conducted (manned by members of LPB) to raise funds in partnership with VPAPU. They are the ones who’ll be in (charge) to produce PPEs, face shields, etc. and LPB will gather donations to fund their production,” Bacani told Green FM.

As of April 19, VPAPU has produced 6,700 DIY face shields and donated 255 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), 343 liters of alcohol, 6,000 surgical gloves, and 25 mattresses to over 46 medical centers and hospitals nationwide.

From March 29 to April 8, DLSU-D Chorale also held its fundraising concert online, raising over PHP350,000.00 cash donation for the benefit of medical frontliners nationwide.
