DLSU-D Chorale, in partnership with Visual and Performing Arts Production Unit (VPAPU) is set to hold a digital fundraising concert entitled, “Open Mic: KanTAHANAN LIVE!” for the benefit of healthcare workers who are currently battling Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in the country.

The fundraising effort will be streamed live via DLSU-D Chorale’s Facebook page from March 29 to April 4 every 9am, 3pm, 5pm, and 8pm.

In an exclusive interview with DLSU-D Chorale Executive Vice President for External Affairs Ken Ditchon, the idea of having a digital fundraising event came from their alumni. “[Na-share] sa [amin] (‘yung idea) and it became a collaborative work, mainly to support the VPAPU to produce more DIY face shields for our frontliners,” he told Green FM.

It could be remembered that VPAPU has been distributing face shields and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) since March 26 in various hospitals in Cavite to address the scarcity of PPEs for medical frontliners.

Moreover, Ditchon revealed that performers for the benefit concert will consist of the current members and alumni of the organization. “They will sing songs along with the promotion on how people can help and donate for the project,” he said.
