The United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) celebrated World Architecture Day 2024 with a two-day event known as UTOPIA, consisting of a scale model competition, a thesis forum, a quiz bee, and 3D printer and laser cutting workshops.

“UTOPIA” was held on November 12 and 16, 2024, at the second floor of Candido Tirona Hall (CTH) Building B.

UAPSA, which also serves as the student body’s program council, held a workshop in CTH107 Building B in collaboration with the CEAT Center for Technological Innovation.

With the theme, “Cultivating the Future Through Sustainability and Urban Development,” the event garnered many participants from our university’s architecture community.

The participants gained several insights with the seminar’s informative discussion of 3D printing and laser cutting on each machine and its components that gave a detailed demonstration of the machine, allowing participants to observe up close while a byproduct was created.

The thesis forum, called PERSPECTIVE, covered topics such as how to organize a research paper, where to get resources, and how to get one’s thesis title approved.
