Ignited indeed was the conclusion of the tri-fold activity of the SINAG Society of Leaders (SISOL) on Wednesday, November 29 at the Bahay Pag-asa Dasmariñas.
The event “SISOLakbo: Igniting the Lasallian Spirit” featured three activities—a fun run for crowdfunding on November 18 and a combined outreach and spiritual activity on the 29th.
The said outreach and spiritual event was filled with icebreakers, spiritual activities, afternoon snacks, and token distribution to benefit three charities: Bahay Tuluyan ng mga Bata – Dasmariñas City, Bahay Pag-asa, and Our Lady’s Pantry.
According to Al Rayyan Lerio, Director for Spiritual Activities, SISOL aims to promote community engagement and to utilize the leadership skills of the organization’s members in helping the residents of Bahay Pag-asa.
One of SISOLakbo’s project heads, Richelle Cruz, also said that through this event, they wish to be a bridge between students with the drive to help and the people in need.
“We are so fortunate that there are a lot of students, staff, admins, and alumni, who supported us for this simple yet impactful action,” Cruz stated.
Cruz also showed her gratitude in how they got to achieve the objectives of their project, “It is so overjoying [sic] that there are students who extended their help and donated in-kind goods out of their own [pockets]. We can say that this is not only the success of SISOL, but the success of the whole DLSU-D (De La Salle University-Dasmariñas) community.”
