The College of Liberal Arts and Communication Student Government (CLACSG) has published two ordinances from July 27 made effective in the current academic year, aiming to help constituents affected by natural disasters and protect students’ right to transparency in the CLACSG’s affairs.
Ordinance Number 0007, authored primarily by CLACSG Councilor Azhbel General with co-authorship from then-Councilors Margie Ybañez and Abigael Salonga, aims to donate grocery packs to CLAC students, faculty, and families if struck by major disasters.
The assistance, which includes food, personal and health care items per individual, is worth 600 pesos.
Meanwhile, Ordinance Number 0009, authored by now-Vice Governor Salonga alongside now-Director of Sports and Recreation Ybañez, tasks the CLACSG to release admissible documents to the public to uphold transparency and accountability.
The necessary documents for this Ordinance include public contact information, executive orders, attendance reports, financial reports, outreach transparency reports, progress reports on statement concerns, findings and proposals on collegiate research, board resolutions, bills of the College Legislative Council, and other Ordinances.
The College of Liberal Arts and Communication Student Government is the highest autonomous governing body of the College of Liberal Arts and Communication (CLAC) in De La Salle University – Dasmariñas.
