Over 1.8M COVID-19 vaccines administered in Cavite

A total of 1,822, 899 doses of COVID-19 vaccines were given to Cavite residents, Provincial Information and Community Affairs Department (PICAD Cavite) reported on Tuesday, Sept. 21, through their official Facebook page.

In the report, economic frontliners lead the number of those who are fully vaccinated with 257,398, followed by senior citizens with 147,156, and persons with comorbidities with 146,912.

PICAD Cavite also reported that economic frontliners had the most number of first dose vaccinations with 490,449.

Following the plea of Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla on August 27, to the government, the province needed 6 million doses to immunize 70% of its population and achieve herd immunity.

As of Sept. 23, Cavite logged 146,876 total COVID-19 cases, 136,188 recoveries, and 1,123 deaths

Moreover, the province recorded the highest number of active cases in CALABARZON with 9,565.

Cavite is placed under the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine until Thursday, Sept. 30.
