With the primary aim of raising funds and generating hope through the universal language of music, Visual and Performing Arts Production Unit (VPAPU) together with Asper Creative Marketing, a digital startup line, holds their first-ever digital concert entitled Kaibigan at Barkadang Totoo (KA.BA.RA.TO. ) on May 8, 6 pm.
KA.BA.RA.TO is a yearly benefit concert organized by VPAPU, as an entry to the annual Cultural Arts Festival of the Cultural Arts Office.
This year, KA.BA.RA.TO features the most-in-demand singers and rising stars in the Philippine entertainment industry, such as Piolo Pascual, Yeng Constantino, Carlo Aquino, JM De Guzman, Radha, Bea Lorenzo, Janine Teñoso, Luigi D’ Avola, and Matty Juniosa. American international hitmaker, David Archuleta, is also set to serenade online viewers as he completes the stellar line up of guest performers in the digital concert.
All proceeds of the concert will be given to the essentials of the frontliners battling the COVID-19 crisis since March this year.
As of April 19, VPAPU together with Lasallian Pop Band, DLSU-D Chorale, and its partner institutions have produced and distributed 7,500 DIY face shields and donated 456 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), 343 liters of alcohol, 6,000 surgical gloves, 25 mattresses, and 600 pieces of 500ml bottled water to over 52 security agencies, checkpoints, medical centers, and hospitals nationwide.
